Little Cute things...

I dont have a lot to report at the moment....and I know a few of you have been checking up on me! My next Dr. appointment is on Feb. 14th and I have been pretty mellow. My ever growing tummy is starting to scare me! I feel huge...and know I still have a ways to go. More pieces of the nursery were put together this weekend...Just a couple more things and it will be all set. Dan and I have been buying little things along the way as we find them. I am super picky...and it seems I only like one or two things when I go someplace....well that and I am only willing to spend so much money :) This is a couple things I have picked up recently. Baby Lily finally has some socks! Been wanting to get some and loved the little box set. Found the adorable BePeaceful shirt brand new for $1.99. We thought it was a joke (marked down from $25.00)....but no joke. Snagged it right up! And finally I LOVE the mod outfit! Found it at Macy's! It is going to be a great outfit for photos!

"Bigger Mini"

Bigger Mini...Well I guess you can call that an oxymoron? But I like it! The decision has been made that we needed a new car. My little Mini Cooper is just a touch small to get a car seat in the back. Yes it can be done...but what a challenge. Not something I was looking forward to. I also have NO desire to get rid of my car. Despite the fact Dan pointed out if HE had a "sports car" he would have to sell it. Hmmm. Not sure about that. But either way we need to make a change. I LOVE my mini....so when we saw the commercials for the NEW Mini SUV we were hooked. A quick call down to Dan at Rasmussen Mini and we set up a test drive for as soon as the first one arrived. And that was TODAY! We LOVED the car. Both of us. Dan does not really like driving the mini as much as I do but he is pretty excited about the new one. More room but still the same feel as the mini cooper. We should be getting our new car early summer as we are going to custom order the perfect one. Spoiled I know....but that is the way it is done at Mini. Because its a new car there is not an unlimited stock supply to just drive up and pick one. We dont technically need the car until Summer anyway so no rush. I have included a photo of what the car looks like...but this is not the color we will be getting. Its just a peek!

Baby PJ's

So is it a Rule that ALL baby PJ's have to be either cheesy or just plain UGLY? I know they are just PJ's but babies spend a lot of time in them...cant they be cute? Do I need to learn to sew on my own? LOL! I have not bought one pair of footy pajamas to dress Miss Lily in as I have not been able to find one that fits my style. Most of them are super busy and/or with goofy animals on them. Where should I be looking? Any suggestions?

Fun new goodies...

Its been a bit since I posted as I have been in California with my Dad visiting Grandparents. I didnt want to leave you all hanging but I just got back and dont have too much to share at the moment. We will be shooting some maternity photos VERY soon as my tummy already looks like it wants to explode! For now I thought I would share a couple items that we have purchased and were gifted. Dan and I bought the Eddie Bauer Stroller/Car Seat from Target that I LOVE! I know its not super girly...but Im not super girly! I love it and it matches my Petunia Pickle Bottom Diaper Bag! Gotta love it! While I was in California my wonderful grandparents bought us the matching High Chair! So excited to get it! I love that is not just the regular plastic High Chair but instead its a nice wood. Will look much better decorating our kitchen! Thanks to the grandparents for the wonderful gift! Lily will enjoy using it! Hugs!

Bye Bye Toes...Hello Belly Button

I've lost my toes! ha ha. Well not completely but enough that I can not see them without bending forward. It makes me laugh! And my poor little Belly Button is making its appearance. Not sure how I feel about that one. I am getting harassed about maternity photos. I cant take them of myself so I need Dan to take a couple. We are almost to the point where we will do an official studio session so I am going to hold out and post those photos! You will just have to put up with this silly iphone pic that I just took for now.

PS...no more Nursery photos will be posted till its done!!! Its close...but still waiting on custom bedding, custom chair and a couple more handmade items. Soon...I promise :)

I think its a Girl...but....

The buying war is on! Dan picks out "his" clothes for the baby and I pick out mine. I am thinking that Dan might need to be reminded we are having a GIRL! ha ha ha. My purchases are of course the top photo with the adorable little dresses. And I am sure you dont even need to be told that Dan's purchases are the 2nd photo. Go Beavers and Poop! LOL

She Kicks!!!

The doctor had told me anytime I should be feeling little Lily but so far just little flutters is all I have felt. Yes they say it feels like gas or I prefer butterflies! LOL. But last night she KICKED me! I didnt believe it at first but I placed my hand on my tummy and she kicked it a couple more times. Once I was sure that was what I was feeling I yelled for Dan but by the time he felt the tummy she had stopped! Little booger! I know...there is many more to come but it was fun to have the first!

I think we are behind on belly pics! I was at the bowling alley last night and a few people pointed at my tummy and asked when did that happen? ha ha. I had been hiding it pretty good...but no more of that. Its officially too big. I will have Dan take a pic and post soon...

Pampers Verses Huggies

Yesterday I posted a fun post on facebook "Pampers verses Huggies is like Canon verses Nikon only its a language I don't understand" LOL. It has had quite the response! At first I figured that all my photographer friends would jump on it but actually its all the Mom's who have given thoughts and opinions on the issue. It seems though....It will all depend on Miss Lily. Im hoping Huggies will work as we can purchase them at Costco...but I guess we will see what happens. Too many decisions to make...Its wearing me out already! ha ha

Registering...

Okay...Okay...I broke down and registered for a "few" things so far. It all seems silly to me but I was convinced by Pottery Barn...We went in to buy a few things and they told us to register for it...then get 10% off. So I got sucked in. But hey....I dont mind getting what we need but if any of you have a wild hair and want to purchase from our registry so be it :) I have been finding random items like the bowling pins so I thought I would start a custom registry that I could select things from different stores. Shopping...Shopping...Shopping!

I am going to admit...I HATE SHOPPING! Clothes shopping is by far the worst but I do a little better if its shopping to decorate so I figured now that we know we are having a little girl it was time to work on the nursery. Now...it would have been fun until I could not find what I wanted. I like to make things difficult I suppose by being super picky....and wanting something a little different! I dont want the typical PINK nursery. In fact its already painted a teal color with one wall having a fun wallpaper design on it. We are wanting a more shabby/chic nursery. Lucky for me...I have a wonderful friend, Connie who is going to help me out with custom bedding (LOVE YOU CONNIE!) and my mom who surprised me at Christmas by telling me she was going to come visit this week! Yeah! Going to work on the room with my mom and see what we can either find or craft!

So today....I have spent most of the day looking for ideas on the web with my mom doing the same. So far so good...Getting LOTS of ideas just a matter of finding what we need when she gets here this week. But....instead of posting a photo of some of the fabulous ideas (you will have to wait till I take photos of the finished nursery) I am going to post something I MUST HAVE! Those of you who know me well....Know that I am a bowler :) Been bowling since I was a kid. I found this bowling set that needs to be bought...What do you think?

Baby Lily Rose Harlacher!

We couldnt be more excited for our awesome Christmas Surprise! We baked cookies that say It's a girl for our Dad's to open and reveal the sex...Our mom's get phone calls and ichat as they are not in Oregon! Thanks to everyone who has wrote to check on us this morning. Sorry we were holding out...but we wanted to make sure we told the family first!

More gifts...Well Sort of :)

Love the Eeyore...gift from Miss Jamie. So sweet and so cute! Perfect if its a Girl OR a Boy! Thanks Jamie! Now Dan however first purchase all by himself is the set of Beaver onesies. Didnt want baby to have any doubt about it being a Beaver! LOL. I told him they look like boy onesies but he insisted it did not matter. Hmmm.....

My favorite things...

Its time to distract myself from the torture of not knowing the sex yet....by posting about something else entirely! Fun baby toys! Even though the sex of the baby is still unknown I cant not help but buy things. I have just been careful about what I purchase! We have the nursery furniture minus the actual bedding and a few other misc items. My first purchases however were these little guys. It is my favorite brand of toy (MiYim). They are soooo cute! Its not even that they are organic I just liked the style of them. We saw the monkey in Hawaii and I knew we needed to hunt down the brand when we got back in town. It did take a little searching and they can be found in random locations such as Whole Foods and fun boutique kids stores. My sister-in-law, Jenn, and I went all over Reno looking for the monkey but we had no luck. I did find it a couple weeks ago at a cute store in the Pearl District called, Urbanites. Also the babies first official gift came from "Aunt Jenn"....the adorable bumble bee! Thanks JENN!!! You are the best!
