More New Goodies...

Going to visit "Grandma" means lots of fun goodies for baby Lily! This is the first granddaughter for my mom so she is pretty excited about getting girl things. She used to have tunnel vision for the boy section but now she is getting to play with girl clothes. Which I know are much easier to find cute things! Being a Holiday weekend I spent it in Reno with my family. This meant lots of Sales at the stores. Gap Baby was 44% off all sale prices! Awesome! So we may have ended up with more than needed...but who can help themselves! I had all the goodies laid out in Lily's room for Dan to see when he got home and he said it looks like a Cyclone hit....Well he might be right...



A bit scary even I admit. But dont worry all cleaned up and put away once Dan got to peek!

5 Year Olds...

Spending the day with 5 year olds is quite amusing. They are SO CUTE...and the things they say just cracks me up. Today I helped out in my friend Ali's kindergarden glass. I try to help once a week if I can and I really enjoy it. The kids call me "Miss Whitney" and are all smiles and hugs when I am there. Melts my heart and makes me want to go back! Today was hilarious. One girl says to me (while pointing at my big belly) "It looks like you have been eating a lot of food" giggle...giggle. She KNOWS I am prego...but this she thought was too funny :) Next she decides to paint me a photo. She explains that the photo is of ME and my BIG BELLY! LOL. What a cutie. And yes I laughed....The things kids say (and can get away with right?). I am looking forward to our little one being 5 and seeing what she says. And hoping Miss Ali gets to be her teacher! Doctor checkup

All went well yesterday at the Dr. Measuring 27in....And I am at 26 weeks so just a little head but she says its great. Weight on track...everything else is good. Quick and painless so far :) The only part that sucks now....is I have to start going every two weeks instead of once a month. AND...the next one is for the sugar test. We are praying I dont have diabetes. PRAYING. I have enough diet issues....lets not add any more right? Dr says I am not high risk for it but I guess you never know...I have been around lots of people who have had it and its not fun.

Not Loving...

Okay. I can take the kicking. Yes sometimes I dont like being beat up but its still tolerable. Now...the rolling across my tummy (or a spot on my tummy) is the creepiest...ickiest feeling. I am NOT digging it. Dan keeps saying I am sure you will get use to it. (thanks honey). But I am ready to go back to just the kicking. Am I the only one who does not like that feeling?

100 Days left?

Seriously? When you think 100 you think that its a lot. Till you put it on how long I have left before Miss Lily is here. Wow. Must get lots of sleep and enjoy all the peace and quiet I can in the next 100 days. What else should I do? Any thoughts? Must make use of each "quiet" day! LOL

A Gift in the Mail...

I came home last night and had a cute package awaiting me at my front door. It was a box all wrapped up in baby wrapping paper. Smiling as I walked in with it trying to figure out who would have sent me a gift? I am always better at the buying of gifts then I am at receiving them. Dont know why....but guess I dont think I deserve them or something? Who knows. Anyway after further investigation I found it from Deb...aka...Cali's Mom...aka...Mom as I call her :) (dont worry to MY mom..I still love ya...Deb's NAME is just MOM! LOL). I was in shock! Very unexpected and Very excited to open it! The cutest little girl package of goodies...hat, onesie, pants...and CUTE socks was inside. LOVE IT! Thank you so much Deb, Cali's Mom, Mom for sending! Dan and I love it and are very thankful for the beautiful gift! Cant wait for you to meet little Lily and fingers crossed she will be here on the perfect day of May 22!

Petunia Pickle Bottom

How can you not LOVE this line! I love it so much my Camera Bag is a Petunia Pickle Bottom Diaper Bag! Seriously! It works beautifully! Every time I see the new bags that come out I wonder how you chose? They have fun shapes, sizes and patterns that I think I will take one of each and just switch them out like purses. Sounds fun right? If only the price tags worked in my budget! LOL. Here is four sizes and prints I found on their website that I thought were adorable. The last one reminds me of a bowling bag! So fitting! And the first two are more purse size/style...which would be cute if you didnt need to haul an entire diaper bag. Either way...LOVE THEM ALL! Thought I would share...

Prego Friends...

Finding out friends are pregnant is almost as exciting as finding out we were pregnant. You know you are getting older when your girlfriends either have kids or are now getting pregnant. Most of my friends already had kids but the rest seem to be jumping on board! Little Lily is going to have lots of playmates! I had the pleasure of being shocked by a good friend this morning as she spilled the beans. And I mean SHOCKED! About as shocked as everyone was to find out I was prego. This friend was on the no kids train with me...and we have both officially fallen off! Go us! AND...we managed to fall off around the same time which is even more awesome. Neither of us thought we would be having the baby conversation! I just want to say CONGRATS my dear friend (you know who you are!) and I can not wait for our little "girls" (LOL) to become great friends. (okay...if it is a boy...well...maybe more than friends! ha ha ha) Cant wait to share our Journeys together! I am here if you need anything! Hugs!

Goodnight Room

Dan and I registered at Goodnight Room this weekend. I wasn't going to because you cant actually view our registry online. BUT....it is an adorable store with lots of goodies that we love. All of the nursery furniture came from there and I didn't really think there was enough smaller items to register for. I was very wrong. They have been getting all kinds of cute goodies there that we would love to have. So if you are in the Portland area you should check out the store no matter what. You have to ask for a registry list...but I think you should check out the store regardless if you are trying to get a gift. Its a CUTE store! Located in Bridgeport Village across from MAC makeup! Hope you love it as much as I do!

Little Cute things...

I dont have a lot to report at the moment....and I know a few of you have been checking up on me! My next Dr. appointment is on Feb. 14th and I have been pretty mellow. My ever growing tummy is starting to scare me! I feel huge...and know I still have a ways to go. More pieces of the nursery were put together this weekend...Just a couple more things and it will be all set. Dan and I have been buying little things along the way as we find them. I am super picky...and it seems I only like one or two things when I go someplace....well that and I am only willing to spend so much money :) This is a couple things I have picked up recently. Baby Lily finally has some socks! Been wanting to get some and loved the little box set. Found the adorable BePeaceful shirt brand new for $1.99. We thought it was a joke (marked down from $25.00)....but no joke. Snagged it right up! And finally I LOVE the mod outfit! Found it at Macy's! It is going to be a great outfit for photos!

"Bigger Mini"

Bigger Mini...Well I guess you can call that an oxymoron? But I like it! The decision has been made that we needed a new car. My little Mini Cooper is just a touch small to get a car seat in the back. Yes it can be done...but what a challenge. Not something I was looking forward to. I also have NO desire to get rid of my car. Despite the fact Dan pointed out if HE had a "sports car" he would have to sell it. Hmmm. Not sure about that. But either way we need to make a change. I LOVE my mini....so when we saw the commercials for the NEW Mini SUV we were hooked. A quick call down to Dan at Rasmussen Mini and we set up a test drive for as soon as the first one arrived. And that was TODAY! We LOVED the car. Both of us. Dan does not really like driving the mini as much as I do but he is pretty excited about the new one. More room but still the same feel as the mini cooper. We should be getting our new car early summer as we are going to custom order the perfect one. Spoiled I know....but that is the way it is done at Mini. Because its a new car there is not an unlimited stock supply to just drive up and pick one. We dont technically need the car until Summer anyway so no rush. I have included a photo of what the car looks like...but this is not the color we will be getting. Its just a peek!

Baby PJ's

So is it a Rule that ALL baby PJ's have to be either cheesy or just plain UGLY? I know they are just PJ's but babies spend a lot of time in them...cant they be cute? Do I need to learn to sew on my own? LOL! I have not bought one pair of footy pajamas to dress Miss Lily in as I have not been able to find one that fits my style. Most of them are super busy and/or with goofy animals on them. Where should I be looking? Any suggestions?

Fun new goodies...

Its been a bit since I posted as I have been in California with my Dad visiting Grandparents. I didnt want to leave you all hanging but I just got back and dont have too much to share at the moment. We will be shooting some maternity photos VERY soon as my tummy already looks like it wants to explode! For now I thought I would share a couple items that we have purchased and were gifted. Dan and I bought the Eddie Bauer Stroller/Car Seat from Target that I LOVE! I know its not super girly...but Im not super girly! I love it and it matches my Petunia Pickle Bottom Diaper Bag! Gotta love it! While I was in California my wonderful grandparents bought us the matching High Chair! So excited to get it! I love that is not just the regular plastic High Chair but instead its a nice wood. Will look much better decorating our kitchen! Thanks to the grandparents for the wonderful gift! Lily will enjoy using it! Hugs!

Bye Bye Toes...Hello Belly Button

I've lost my toes! ha ha. Well not completely but enough that I can not see them without bending forward. It makes me laugh! And my poor little Belly Button is making its appearance. Not sure how I feel about that one. I am getting harassed about maternity photos. I cant take them of myself so I need Dan to take a couple. We are almost to the point where we will do an official studio session so I am going to hold out and post those photos! You will just have to put up with this silly iphone pic that I just took for now.

PS...no more Nursery photos will be posted till its done!!! Its close...but still waiting on custom bedding, custom chair and a couple more handmade items. Soon...I promise :)

I think its a Girl...but....

The buying war is on! Dan picks out "his" clothes for the baby and I pick out mine. I am thinking that Dan might need to be reminded we are having a GIRL! ha ha ha. My purchases are of course the top photo with the adorable little dresses. And I am sure you dont even need to be told that Dan's purchases are the 2nd photo. Go Beavers and Poop! LOL
